Our Mission
Almost Home Dog Rescue NC’s mission is to provide a safe haven for local shelter dogs and facilitate their adoption into permanent loving homes. We will lead by example, providing a transition environment with comfortable housing, mental/ physical stimulation and basic training to enrich the lives of both the dogs and their adopters alike.

Our StoryOur story began with volunteering at the local county animal shelter. We simply couldn’t turn away from the animals who needed us most. |
The TeamOur amazing team of volunteers are committed to enriching the lives of the dogs in our care and being a part of their success stories. |
On the farm, our rescue dogs get lots of exercise, extra snuggling, one-on-one training to help make them more adoptable, and daily grooming which they love, love, love.
